A Bit About Me
For more than three decades, my work has connected the performing arts, historic preservation, public scholarship, and cultural storytelling. From the world stage of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and international performances with Eartha Kitt to collaborations with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the National Park Service, and Board member of the Friends of the Lousiana Archives, my career has been devoted to preserving history while inspiring new generations to appreciate culture, heritage, and place.
Through Cultural Tours LAAAH, I invite audiences to discover the stories behind architecture, neighborhoods, traditions, and the people who shaped them.
Professional Journey
1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games
Los Angeles Olympic Games
Performed as part of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, where dance, ceremony and international culture converged on a world stage. It became an early foundation for a life shaped by performance, presentation and cultural exchange.
1992 International Tour with Eartha Kitt
Young Hollywood
My years in Los Angeles entertainment brought me into the creative world of television, music and Black Hollywood—from A Different World and acting study with Marla Gibbs to working behind the scenes during the Arsenio Hall era. These experiences taught me how culture is created, presented and ultimately remembered.
2000s Historic Preservation Leadership
View Park Historic District
1992 — The World Stage: Eartha Kitt & Europe
International touring with Eartha Kitt took the journey beyond Hollywood and into Europe, where performance became cultural exchange. The theaters, historic interiors, traditions and social worlds I encountered abroad deepened an interest in heritage that would eventually lead me toward preservation.

I'2020s — Cultural Ambassador
2000s — Historic Preservation & View Park
My focus shifted from performing within culture to helping preserve it. Through the View Park Historic District and Los Angeles' African American architectural heritage, I became involved in documenting, advocating for and protecting the places that carry community memory.
2010s — National Preservation & Cultural Media
My preservation work expanded through relationships with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the National Park Service and preservation leaders including Brent Leggs. The work also reached broader audiences through media including the Los Angeles Times, BBC, Los Angeles Sentinel and M6 Television in France
I2020s — Cultural Ambassador
Today, my work brings performance, preservation, public history and cultural storytelling together. From the Pan African Film Festival and Louisiana cultural institutions to Cultural Tours LAAAH, I continue interpreting the relationship between people, place, heritage and the traditions we carry forward.
